EARTH DAY: PURCHASE WITH PURPOSE
Shealeen MarieShare
I always imagined myself opening up a thrift store on the coast; something brimmed and beautifully chaotic, full of pre-loved items that inspire a sort of story.
When I decided to open a slow fashion clothing store, I had to work with some judgemental internal dialogue. If I loved the Earth, why would I encourage MORE production?
Queue a lot of consideration, and I come to really accept that I live in a bubble of sustainably conscious people. The further I am from this bubble, the more I recognize how out of touch most consumers are.
So, as a lover of Mama Earth in the retail industry, I consider it a primary duty to provide customers with brands who have good hearted, sustainable practices in place for their production. Whose actions align with their words, which are full of purpose. Ones who are inspired by the Earth and her elements and show her Love.
Euspira shares a quiet, intentional rhythm with slow fashion. Valuing patience and presence — choosing quality over speed, depth over excess, and a connection to the natural world that inspires lasting beauty.
Below are a few brands that we carry, whose creations leave a gentler footprint on the Earth.

The project has been paving the way for Canadian clothing production using high quality, low impact materials and ethical manufacturing.
Pansy underwear is sewn in a factory in San Leandro, CA, a twenty minute-drive from their Oakland studio. The organic cotton is grown in Texas and milled in North Carolina. The natural rubber/cotton elastic is made in Rhode Island. The underwear is garment dyed with non-toxic fiber-reactive dyes in a factory in Novato, CA. They use organic cotton thread and woven organic cotton twill tags. We love Pansy!
May you feel inspired to refresh your home and wardrobe with natural fibre pieces, crafted by brands that operate ethically, source locally and honour the land.
