This Rain Cape is built for versatility. Made from the same waterproof, PFAS-Free 3L nylon fabric as the Legacy Poncho, it delivers a classic poncho silhouette with modern updates.

Side snaps create sleeves or leave them open for maximum freedom of movement and breathability. Slip a backpack or camera on or off without needing to remove the cape first. It’s especially great for cycling, with a helmet compatible hood and the use of finger loops to create a tenting effect over your legs while riding, reducing the need for rain pants. A large anorak-style pocket keeps essentials close, and the cape packs down light for travel.

The Rain Cape is ideal for cycling, commuting, camping and hiking. It’ll keep you dry no matter where you’re going or how much it rains.

Sizing

Poncho Sizing Tips

  • S+ is intended as a Plus Size. It has the width of the XXL with the sleeve and body length between that of a S and M.
  • Body length and sleeve length differentiate the most between sizes, more than width.
  • Chest, waist and hips are all the same width and measured as circumference.
  • Thicker layers can take up some sleeve length. Consider sizing up if you're on the cusp of the recommendations and wanting to really layer up.
  • Poncho should cover your pockets and rear, come to near mid-thigh in length.

Rain Cape Sizing Tips

  • Rain Capes are designed to be unisex, loose fitting and oversized
  • Hood and Pocket size are the same on all sizes
  • Main difference between each size is in the length of the shoulder seam and body
  • Measurements are taken from the neck line

Care

Technical outerwear works best when cared for. We recommend using a technical garment wash and repellant as needed in order to get the longest life out of your garment.

Prepare the Poncho:

  • Close all zippers.
  • Make sure your washing machine is clean (avoid washing right after a muddy load).

First Wash (Cleaning):

  • Use outerwear detergent like Grangers
    Performance Wash (follow bottle instructions).
  • Wash in warm water on a normal setting with low water volume.

Second Wash (Repellant Treatment):

  • Use repel formula as needed such as Grangers Clothing Repel (follow bottle instructions).
  • Wash in warm water on a setting that allows a soaking period and no extra rinse.

Drying:

  • Tumble dry on medium to low heat (high heat may cause damage).
  • Dry until completely dry, but avoid over-drying (usually around 30 minutes—check
    periodically).
